This series is sponsored by Adventist Deaf Ministries of Lincoln, Nebraska. The production funding has been given by Deaf, friends & relatives of Deaf, and several church departments. The production was done in Arkansas by Edgemont Video, Inc.
WHO IS ON THE VIDEOS?
David Trexler is deaf himself, and gives all the lectures in American Sign Language. Trexler is a pastor in Maryland and he is also working as a part-time volunteer Chaplain with Gallaudet University. Trexler's background is as an Christian editor/evangelist, and also teacher at a State Deaf school.
The Associate Director, Esther Doss, is the hearing daughter of deaf parents. Esther also serves as MC and during the Q&A time, asks the questions. Esther's husband, Chip, was Director for the Production. John Blake, Director of Canadian Deaf Ministries (of this web site) was Executive Producer.
DOES THE SERIES HAVE VOICE AND SOUND?
Yes, Pastor Trexler’s son, Arthur, is a professional interpreter from Omaha, NE, and he voice interprets for his father.
WHAT DOES THE SERIES COVER?
The series covers all the basic doctrines of the Bible. About half of the texts used are from Easy Reading versions. Each program is 58.5 min. with an introduction, a 32-52 min. lecture, a 2 to 20 min. Question and Answer section on the lecture just covered, & credits, etc. There are 26 studies on 13 VHS tapes.
