BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA, DEAF FELLOWSHIP

May 12, 2001

Interpreting for Deaf members, and signing again for a Deaf-Blind lady from Seattle

At supper time, the Deaf Ministry Group enjoyed the hospitality of Han Hong in her apartment.   Deaf came from the Fraser Valley in B.C.,  and the Seattle, WA area.

Alberta Blake signing for Pastor Jim Gaulle who was giving the evening worship talk.

And a bit of fun:  He almost looks worried about making it, but he did!

While on a lovely afternoon walk in a beautiful park in Surrey, we crossed a dry culvert. And, the youngest in the group was challenged to go through it -- and he did ......followed then, by his two older brothers, ..... and a female college student!

NOTE--An Idea!

Perhaps in your area, (Province, State, County, etc.), you might organize a 'Deaf Fellowship Day'.  We are planning one for B.C./WA twice a year, and in Alberta, we have them about 6-8 times a year.  Have a church service, fellowship meal, afternoon activity, and general time for study, worship, fellowship and an interesting outdoor activity!

FINALLY-- Does this tree we saw in the park look like it is saying, "I Love You"?

[Imagine looking at your left hand signing, I love you, the thumb on the right, and you see the forefinger in the middle, and the little finger on the left!]
